About WordCamp Belfast

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress.

WordCamps are informal, community-organised events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. Read more about WordCamps.

Date and Time

WordCamp Belfast 2018 will take place on 26 & 27 May 2018 from 8:00am (registration from 8:00am – 9:00am) to 6:15pm. There will be presentations throughout the day, as well as opportunities for networking and breakout sessions. Lunch will be provided (complimentary with your ticket) on both days of the event.

Venue

The venue is the Peter Froggatt Centre, Queen’s University Belfast, 7-9 College Park East, Belfast BT7 1PS.

Additional venue information, including directions and information will be available on this website in the coming months. We recommend using public transport to reach the venue. There’s a nearby train station (Botanic) and plenty of buses that pass close to the venue. If you are using a car, there are limited parking spaces in the car-park and some on-street parking nearby.

You can find more information on the venue at the following post: Venue Location

Tickets

We will soon be releasing tickets for WCBelfast 2018.

If you have never been to a WordCamp before, here’s what a ticket will get you, and of course the price:

  • entry to the WordCamp Belfast on both days
  • entry to all talks and workshops over the two days
  • lunches and refreshments, both days
  • cool WordCamp Swag
  • a dedicated WIFI account for one device during the WordCamp
  • access to all our amazing speakers and exhibiting sponsors
  • a help-desk for your WordPress related questions (bring your laptop or devices)
  • access to the WordCamp After-Party at a nearby venue

After reading all that, we are sure you would be expecting to pay more than £100 for a ticket?

Well, we are pleased to say that this years WordCamp Belfast tickets will actually be cheaper than WCBelfast 2016 (£27), at just £25 p/person.

That is of-course thanks to the fact that all of this is organised by volunteers, and costs are subsidised by our generous sponsors. If you would like to know more about how WordCamp tickets are so cheap, you can read more on: https://central.wordcamp.org/what-to-expect/

Special Thanks

To the WordCamp Central team for their invaluable help with all the planning.
Our sponsors, speakers, organisers, volunteers, and of course those of you who are joining us.

Without you all, WordCamp Belfast would not happen.
